Project
Five days beyond any lingering trace of humanity, in the Kumbu region of the Himalayas, a pair of climbers trek over rock and ice, narrowly avoiding crevasses to summit eastern Nepal’s Ama Dablam.
Drop Media’s photo series examines the notion that expeditions are a fundamental human pursuit, the chance to explore far off lands and one’s inner self, and to capture sights that only exist at the jagged edge of human endurance. This is what we live for, high mountains, inspiring photographs, and enduring partnerships.

This is what we live for—high mountains, inspiring shots, and enduring partnerships.
The Khumbu region demands everything: strength, focus, and full respect for the elements. Drop Media worked alongside the expedition team to document the climb in real time, navigating altitude, terrain, and light with precision. The resulting images reveal more than the route, they speak to the physical and emotional extremes that define modern expedition work.
